MACON TO MILLEDGEVILLE

CHARTER BUS FIELD TRIP & TOUR SATURDAY APRIL 25th!!

    The Civil War Round Tables of Atlanta & Cobb County are pleased to invite you to come ride with us as we travel as a group together on another special Spring historical field trip! We will journey by charter bus to one of the most historic areas in the entire South; the Heartland of the Civil War in Georgia from Macon to Milledgeville on Saturday, April 25th!! All the details of this special trip are below:

Our tour will cover the following historical sites & areas; Civil War Macon & the Cannonball House & Museum, Rose Hill Cemetery, Griswoldville Battlefield (& Pistol Factory Site), Civil War Milledgeville, Old Georgia Capital & Governor's Mansion. We will also follow a brief portion of Sherman's March To The Sea as we journey from Macon to Milledgeville.

Notes:Ordinance of Secession was signed at the Capital & not open to public but we

will have private tour.

    Guides:will have 4-5 special experienced local historians & tour guides on the trip that will meet us at each historical site & we will have special talks on our bus.

   

DEPARTURE: will meet our charter bus at the Hilton Marietta Hotel parking lot, 500 Powder Springs St., Marietta, Ga. departing 8AM sharp returning there by 7pm.

    PRICE: trip includes charter bus & driver, entrance fees to all sites & museums, battlefield tour, all guides, handouts, box lunch, & bottled water/snacks.
